Blood Dragon can not equip the bow. Help?

I got the bow and other weapons after did the first mission in Blood Dragon, but I can not find bow on my weapon wheel. I tried to go into the shop to see if I could equip it like normal far cry but it wouldn't let me access the store. How can I equip the bow in Blood Dragon? Help please.
